Everything About My Hogwarts House – Ravenclaw!

Greetings everyone. I have been wanting to do this entry for a long time, so here you go! Everything you need to know about my Hogwarts house which is Ravenclaw.

I did the test on Pottermore website to know which house I belong to. So if you haven’t take it yet, go take it first.

Ravenclaw is known for their famed intelligence. This is evidently shown by the way Ravenclaws access to their common room. Instead of password or hidden door, what you need to do is answer a riddle. Apparantly, this method have kept away everyone except Ravenclaw as they are the only one that can figure out the answers. For example, ‘Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?’ So every time a student wants a bit of kip, they have to engage in a philosophical debate first.

Other than their intelligence, Ravenclaw is also famous for welcoming eccentric people. Ravenclaw hasn’t half produced a band of fascinating minds, from Cho Chang and Moaning Myrtle, to Luna Lovegood. Ravenclaws are also unique and think outside the box.

Ravenclaws also speak their mind. For such clever person, Ravenclaw can also be a bit outspoken.

And our house emblem is awesome.

Just look at how awesome it looks

A triumphant eagle as the emblem and a lend of blue and bronze as house colours, come on, anyone Sorted into Ravenclaw is going to look automatically fabulous. Also, the fact that the eagle is the symbol of strength, immortality and closely linked to gods Zeus and Odin.

However Ravenclaw do have struggles that only they can understand!

1.Getting tired from climbing all those stairs up to the dormitories.
2.When you can’t figure out the door’s riddle to get into the common room.
3.When you run into the Gray Lady.
4.When you can’t take all the class you want.
5.Whenever Madame Pince has to drag you out of the library because it’s closing time.
6.Reminding people Ravenclaw emblem is an EAGLE, not a RAVEN.
7.Err, blue and bronze or blue and gold?

8.When you want to borrow a book from the library but someone else has borrowed it.
9.When your shoulders  hurt from lugging all your books around.
10.Whenever you have a brilliant idea and have to drop everything and write it down.
11.People look at you weird when you mention random bits of trivia.
12.But when you’re wrong about something, you never ever hear the end of it!
13.But you know better since haters are gonna hate and you’re gonna do you.

But despite all of that, we know that we Ravenclaws are smart enough to know we’re in the best Hogwarts House.

Virgo Stereotypes - True or False?

Hello dearies. So, I got the idea to write on Virgo stereotypes when chatting with a friend. She said that her horoscope totally describe her and I thought maybe I’ll post an entry about Virgo stereotypes and see if it’s fit me. Now, I don’t believe in horoscope. This is just for fun.

Stereotypes:

Clean-freak
Yeah, it’s true. I may not be a total clean-freak but I do like my personal space tidy. I hate it when my room or my space are dirty. Especially the bathroom! I hate dirty bathroom. For me, bathroom is supposed to be a place where you cleanse yourself, it shouldn’t be dirty.

No personality?
Now, that’s is not true. We do have personality. We are just selective with whow we show it.

Precise
This may not describe me but most other Virgos said it describes them. Maybe 50-50?

Determined
Yes, Virgos are determined and hard-workers. Once I set my mind on something, I won’t stop until I’m satisfied with the results I got.

Analytical
According to stereotype, we are said to be thinkers and considering that I try to consider all of my options before making a decision, I’d say that this is true, but only to a certain degree. I’m also very emotional and will react based on my intuition, so it’s hard to say that I’m always highly analytical in a situation.

Reliable
Yup, you can totally rely on me (unless I’m feeling lazy)! And I meet my promises! If I promises to meet you at 3.00 p.m., you better believe I’ll be there at 3.00 p.m. (unlike certain people)

Observant
This is not true for me. I tend to daydream a lot. I usually had my earphones plugged in so I’m unaware of my surroundings.

Skeptical
Given that Virgos are highly analytical, they can also be skeptical. I’d like to think that I have a healthy amount of skepticism, but who knows? Maybe the astrologists are right with this one.

Responsible
Since Virgos are known for being reliable, they’re also very responsible. I, especially, hold myself accountable for a lot of things. Perhaps even a little too much, at times.

Selective
Virgos tend to be selective with who they open up to because it can take a little while for them to feel comfortable around new people. They’re said to be friendly, but not overly friendly. I have a very select, close group of friends, so I could definitely believe this to be more than just a stereotype.
Fussy
Yes, I would say that’s true. I may not show it but those who know me knows how fussy I am.

Cold
Nah, that’s not true. The reason why we Virgos look cold that’s because we don’t speak too much and generally shy around people we are not familiar with. My friend’s first impression of me? She thought that I am a shy, innocent girl until she know me. Now she said that I am a crazy girl. She doesn’t see this coming at all.

Intelligent
Eh, I don’t know about this. But considering I got Ravenclaw for my Hogwarts house it may be true. And Harry Potter fans know that Ravenclaw members are mostly known for their intelligence.

Phew! I think that’s all. If you think I miss any stereotype do tell me. And I’ll tell you if it’s true or not. Goodbye dearies!

Naruto Fanfictions And Beta (?!)

Hello everyone. Last time I didn’t write my top Naruto fanfics because it’s too long. So here you go!

As usual, this list are not arranged in the order of which I think is the best. The order are random.

I assume that you (my dear readers) watch or at least know what is Naruto.

1. Dreaming Of Sunshine by Silver Queen

Why I Love It: First of all, this a self-insert fanfiction. Our protagonist, Nara Shikako is
born to the Nara clan as the younger twin to Shikamaru. Unlike many self-insert fanfiction,
the canon events has its own twist which I like. The events continued before the three year skip. I’m glad she doesn’t skip it! It lets us know what happened to the rest of Genin 12 after Naruto left. The chapter is long and the best part is less grammartical error! The language is suprisingly excellent!

2. Catch Your Breath by Lang Noi

Why I Love It: Like DoS, CYB is a self-insert fanfic. However, the event started a few years before Naruto started, when Kannabi Bridge event happens and Minato and Kushina are still alive. And the fact that Kakashi is not a stuck up kid like he is when in canon. I mean, he still is but a bit lesser. The OC (own character) is a totally awesome ninja fighting girl. She’s not afraid to get into action or get dirty. In short, she’s a tomboy. Yet, Kakashi has a huge crush on her which she doesn’t notice at all but the others definitely noticed.

3. Deja Vu No Jutsu by Vixen Tail

Why I Love It: First, the pairing is Shikaku and OC. Second, there’s something about the Nara men that makes me attracted to them. Third, this story use the butterfly effect to the fullest. Fourth, the OC which is Natsumi is definitely someone that I admired – she’s strong, beautiful, intelligent and have a witty sense of humor. The event on this fanfiction is way before the event from Naruto started. The plot flows smoothly and interestingly.

Honorable Mentions:

Stamping On Butterflies by kjate95
Clearing Mist by shadownumera
Captive by DragonofFernweh
Decaying Bluebells by Darkpetal16
Broken Dolls by Guilty.Ink
For My Clan, For You by Libbeth
Golden Eyes by Jaguarlioness

That’s all from me because it’s getting too long. There’s too many fanfictions that I’ve read and it’s still not enough.

Announcement : My friend, wrote a fanfiction at asianfanfics. She wrote this fanfic – Butterfly & Diamond life dot com. I would really appreciate it if those who’s fan of Kpop will read it. And... I also Beta’d for her. That’s all for this entry, goodbye!

Reasons Why I Hate This Crawlies

Greetings! Today, I decided to write on entry why I hate spiders (and scared of). So without further ado, here’s my reasons!

Some spiders bite

I know not all spiders bite, but when it does, it hurts. Some can even kill you in few hours. Better to be safe than sorry right?

They can hide everywhere

They can hide in your shoes, inside your drawer, at the basement and be making webs there. And there a particular species that hide in bananas. Don’t believe it? This spider is called the Brazilian Wandering Spider.

Quick fact:

  1. The Brazilian Wandering spider is the most deadliest spider in the world.
  2. Their Greek name Phoneutria means “murderess".
  3. They are known as wandering spider because they don’t build web instead they walk around the jungle floor during night. But in day light, they find place to hide.
  4. When defending itself, they lift their body up on their hind legs in a defensive display.

Ughh. Look at it, ready to attack.

  5. Even though its venom is the most deadliest, an effective antivenom is available.
  6. If you are bitten, chance are nothing bad will happen.
  7. The venom only causes extreme pain and inflammation, loss of muscle control and breathing problems, resulting in paralysis and eventual asphyxiation.
  8. The spider’s bite can cause an unwanted erection in men which can last sometimes to four hours.

Their eyes

Don’t even get me started with this. Did you see it’s eyes? How can it have so many eyes? Knowing that it can watch every corners with those eyes... (shudders) And... where are they looking at?

Spider webs

Okay, I know it is for them to catch their food but once you touch it, do you know how difficult to take it off? It’s so sticky. And what about the scenes from LOTR: Return of The King where Frodo gets stuck in the spider web? Nope, don’t like those webs.

Interesting fact: do you know that before plaster was invented, people use spider webs to stop cut from bleeding? Yeah, probably not a good idea because of those germs on the web...

Guess which species makes its nest on a banana?

Furry

Well, not all of them have hairs but when some of them have and it’s really creepy. Especially those on the big ones!

Those many legs

Why do they have so many legs? And you know what’s worse? They can jump on you. Imagine you are dusting the shelves and suddenly something jump and crawling all over you. Not a nice feeling right?

Oh sure, some of you might say, spiders are small, they can’t kill you (yeah, so does grenade but look at the damage it can do). Well, some spiders can kill you. And they might be small, but have you take a look at what they can do to prey and predator bigger than them?

Okay, that's all. I'm getting spooked seeing those spiders. Until then, see you all later!

My Favourite Fanfictions

Hey guys, it’s me, Lynn. If you read my entry “Getting To Know Me”, you will know I love reading fanfiction. I’m obssesed with it. So, I thought I will list down my top favourites fanfictions! Ranging from Attack On Titan, Bleach, Harry Potter, and more, this my top favourites!

This list are listed randomly. In my opinion, all of it them are amazing and the winner.

1.  Upon A Shooting Star by SilverSerpentDragon (Fairy Tail)

Why I Love It: This story is a time travelling story. In a cliche time travelling story, the main character usually will try to fix the mistakes that had already happened. He/she will use their knowledge of the future to prevent some events from happening. That usually results with the same outcomes as the original story, like nothing has changed, except some death may be
avoided. This author however, realises that when you changed something on the past, it will result in a different outcome. That’s the main purposes of time travelling story. You can’t control the future. You can create your own path but you can’t expect the outcome to be as you expected. Our protagonist, Lucy knows that. In time, she overcome her weakness to protect her friends and their future. All of them grow strong together.

The pairing is Lucy and Laxus (they are so cute together). They are my favourite fandom couples! Laxus is still the Mr-Arrogant-and-I’m-Better-Than-You, but when our brave Lucy take him down, he is captivated by her. And Lucy is so cute and adorable! It’s no wonder our dear Dragon fell for her!

2. Gaijin by Tsuki Kitsune Moon Fox (Yu Yu Hakusho)

Why I Love It: A self-insert story with a little twist in the plot and new characters. This story deals with the main character who is a foreigner being transfered to Japan to teach and meeting the YYH gang. The research that the author done for this story is amazing. He/she doesn’t blindly put things without veryfying it. Though a bit warning, there are some gore in this story, so if you don’t like or afraid of gore, I recommend you don’t read it or just skip the gore part. This story is already completed.

3. Swirls of Black and Blue by Azyth (Shingeki no Kyojin)

Why I Love It : First of all, I would like to say this fanfiction is different from many of AoT fanfiction that I’ve read (trust me, I’ve read many) and not many of them can come close in beating this fanfiction in terms of characters developmet, ideas, and plot line. Levi is behaving like... Levi. In short, he is not too OCC.

4. Sound Pod On Shuffle by LittlePrincessNana (Fairy Tail)

Why I Love It: I think what makes me read this story at first are the pairing which is LaLu (Laxus & Lucy) and it has many reviews. You know that story is good when it has many reviews. So upon reading it, I was amazed. The storyline flows well, and new interesting characters being thrown, and almost no grammartical error too. (I hate reading fanfiction with many grammar errors). I think the author managed to capture the characteristics of our dear Fairy Tail mages well. What I like the most is that this story is not rushed.
Honorable Mentions :

Going To The Place Where I Belong by Foxxy (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Rebirth by E.S.mangalover (Naruto & Bleach Crossover)
Savage Heart by Otrinity (Darkest Power Trilogy)
Started In The Bath (Seriously?) by xlunari (Fairy Tail)
The Wooing Of Lucy Heartfilia by papalogia (Fairy Tail)
Puff Pastry Panic! by Cakedecorator (Be My Princess 2)
The Pastry Chef And The Vermin by Cakedecorator (Be My Princess 2)
The Queen Of Hearts by frickbl1 (Brothers Conflict)

All the fanfictions above is updated regularly or completed already. I did not include fanfiction that is on hiatus.

I think that’s all from me. I think I wrote too long. Be sure to check all those fanfictions. They are really good. Until then, bye!

What I Love To Google

Hello everyone! It is me, Fadhlin.

We all love to use google to search things and stuff. As for me, I use google to search for things I like which include fun stuff, weird things and facts. So, here’s my list on what I love to Google.

1. Weird and Cute Creatures

Yeah, I like to Google weird creatures and that always freak out my friends and my mother. Because I will then show it to them. For example? This cute creature named Axolotl.

To be truth, it looks more like a pokemon
And this adorable creature too.

Look at how innocent it looks!

2.  Facts

When it comes to fact I usually Google scary facts, psychological related facts, or anime facts. Recently, I Google facts about deep sea and its creatures.

Oh, by the way, did you know there is a river inside a river? Amazing right? This particular river is called Cenote Angelita in Mexico. From outside it looks like an normal river until you dive inside. Here, I let you read about it.

3. Levi Ackerman

Those who watch Attack On Titan will know who is he. He is one of my favourite characters in anime history. Who wouldn’t? I’m 100% sure that those who watch Attack On Titan loves him. One of my friends said that his voice in english dub is better than the japanese version. She said it’s more sexier. Her words, not mine.

4. Manga and otome

Because I love reading manga, I usually Google to check if there is any new manga released. As for otome, I love games that are interactive novel. Because I don’t like going around running to kill zombies. I rather just sit and click. Which is why I love playing point and click and interactive novels games.

5. Ghost and creepy stuffs

I love horror stories so Creepypasta and Scary For Kids is probably one of the most frequent website I visited.

6. River Monster

I love watching River Monster. I guess I’m curious to know danger lives in the river and be amazed by them. Let’s be honest. Most of them are downright terrifying. Don’t believe? Just look at this:

Just look at the razor sharp teeth

And don't forget this gut sucking devil

Okay, I hope you are not creeped out reading what I like to Google. That’s just what I like. Some girls like to Google on way to do their hair, make up, and how to match their clothes but that’s not me. I’m not going to be someone that I’m not. I’m done pretending. I do search on girly things sometimes but at the same time I like creepy and scary stuff as well.

I think that’s all from me for this entry, hope to see you guys later. Bye!

Why Being Short Isn’t As Bad As You Think

Hello everyone. As you can see from the title above, I think it’s easy to figured out why I’m doing this entry.

I’m short. I’m only 4’11. I don’t even reach 5’0! I feel like a dwarf when I’m with my friends. Most of them are 5’5, and 5’6 while here I am, a dwarf compared to them. So, I’m writing this entry to remind myself and those who are minion that being short isn’t as bad as you think.

  1. You don’t have to worry about being taller than your crush. Even though they are not so tall themselves. If you’re taking picture together, you are going to look as cute as a munchkin.
  2. You can save money when buying clothes or shoes by buying in kids section. I did that when buying my sport shoes because my feet is like Cinderella’s feet. And.... my blouse from when I was in Form 3 still fits.
  3. You never have to worry about bumping your head or ducking to get under things. Because of this reason, I’m good at games like Limbo and Hide and Seek too because I fit... everywhere.
  4. Heels were basically made for you. You don’t have to worry about them making you too tall like the tall girls. I can wear them whenever I want.
  5. You’re small enough for people to piggy back, which is awesome since people only do that if you are a kid... or small.
  6. You also don’t need to worry about being the person who always block someone’s view at the cinema. Even though it’s your view that always get blocked!
  7. People instinctively want to protect you, which makes asking for help with any physical task infinitely easier. I have you know this statement is true.
  8. You can pretty much sleep in any bed comfortably. I have you know that sometimes I sleep at the back of the car comfortably while my dad or friend is driving in front.
  9. You’ll always be able to fit your entire body underneath tiny throw blankets instead of having to cast out your feet to freeze in the open air.
  10. You have more leg room when travelling in a bus, train, or plane compared to the others.
  11. I don’t know why, but people seems to think that you are a lot younger, which is great. You don’t have to worry that you look old after you reach 20!
  12. You’ll always be cute. It can suck to be called adorable instead of sexy, but while sexy can come and go, the flattery of “adorable” will stick to you for life.
  13. You’re an expert crowd weaver. It’s because people don’t usually see you until you’re already past them which always suprised my friend because suddenly I’m walking next to them. And I reach my destination quicker.
  14. And you’re also a skilled climber. It comes from all that practicing at home and supermarkets when you’re trying to reach things on the top shelf.
  15. Being short means people might massively underestimate you. You look unassuming and un-intimidating, and people may take that to mean that you’re not very capable. You can get past the radars of combative types who attempt to undermine competition, and quietly do amazing things that nobody ever saw coming.

So, there you go! The reasons why being short isn’t bad at all. So don’t feel bad or wish that you can grow taller because you are perfect just the way you are. Until then, goodbye!

Last note: you can renact the scene from the Notebook.

Why ReQuest Dance Crew Is Among The Best

Before I start, I want you to know this is entirelly my opinion. If you like other dance group, go ahead. I won’t force you to like what I like.

Hello, everyone. It is me, the owner of this blog. Otherwise who would it be? Today, be prepared to read on my rant on why I love and think this group is the best among the best.

I first saw this group in 2009 performing at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship winning first place in Varsity division. Since that, I love them. Their dance genres are hip-hop, voguing, waacking, house dance, popping, dancehall, lyrical hip hop, and polyswagg. ReQuest dance crew is one of the seven crews within the Royal Family megacrew. So don’t be suprised if you suddenly see them in Royal Family or Sorority or other five crews.

So, why I think they are among the best?

First, the choreographer and founder of the group, Parris Goebel, formed the group at the age of 15 and it has evolved to over 8 years. Goebel and her father, who is also her manager, run The Palace Dance Studio in Auckland. In 2009, Goebel was awarded the Street Dance New Zealand Choreographer of the Year and Dancer of the Year awards. In 2014, she was named Female Choreographer of the Year at the World Of Dance Awards in Los Angeles. In 2015 she was presented with the Top Variety Artist Award from the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand Inc. In 2015, Goebel won the Young Leader category of the New Zealand Women of Influence Awards. In 2016 she won Female Choreographer of the Year and Live Performance of the Year at the World Of Dance Awards.

Second, they were featured in the movie Born To Dance and most of the actors come from them and Royal Family.

Third, they danced for many music videos such as...

Sorry by Justin Bieber.

No Sense (Dance Version) by Justin Bieber.

What Do You Mean (Dance Version) by Justin Bieber.

And many more, just check their YouTube channel, there are so many. And Parris's channel too.

Fourth, they danced with JLo on the AMA 2015 opening performance.

And with Rihanna on VMA 2016!

Fifth, the awards they’ve won.

World Hip Hop Dance Championship
2009 - Gold Medal
2010 - Gold Medal
2011 - Silver Medal

After that, they mostly perform on events and music videos.

Lastly, in 2011, they joined 'THE NO PROJECT' in fighting against human trafficking.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why ReQuest is among the best!

Stay Fit And Healthy Without Having To Exercise!

Hello dearies. For this entry I’m going tell you how to stay fit without having to exercise. Because let’s get real. Not many of us can afford going to the gym. What more with packed schelude, spending time with your loved ones, catching up with your favourite tv show marathon... when is the suitable time to hit the gym? So how can we stay fit and healthy without having to exercise twice a week?

Well, you can. Exercise is not the only way for you to get fit and healthy. Sure, exercise helps you boost your energy, makes you sweat and burn all the calories. But other activities does that too and some of it are not even workout.

These are some of the activities that doesn’t involve intense workout :

  • Walking

Everytime you want to go for grocery, taking fresh air at the park, walk instead of using car. Even if it’s a 15 minutes walk, every steps count. When you’re having lunch or going to a meeting, have a walk. Steve Jobs was known for doing this.

            One useful tip :
When you’re feeling stress, refrain yourself from eating. Admit it, we all take a trip to
the fridge or fast food restaurant whenever we’re feeling stress. Instead of eating our
out, why not take a short walk around your neighbourhood?

Why? Because eating when you’re stressed is a bad habit. When we’re stressed we
eat snacks, sweets, and take carbonated drinks. That is not healthy. Plus, when we’re
stressed, we’re not actually hungry. We eat just to take our mind off things that
            stressed us out.

So instead of eating, take a stroller. Just think of how many pounds you can lose
            instead of adding it up!

  • Dancing

Here’s an alternative for those who hates doing exercise. Dancing! Dancing comes with a lot of type. For those that wish for a relaxing but strengthening dance, ballet is your answer. For those that really want to shake that calories, hip hop dance will make you sweat in no time. Zumba, flamenco, belly dancing – you will be suprised at what these can do to you!

  • Playing with kids

Trust me, playing with children definitely gives you workout. Chasing them around the house, swinging the swing for them, and playing police with them will tire you out. Remember when you were kids? Doesn’t playing around makes you exhausted easily?

Even if you don’t have children, you can always relieve back your childhood memories by playing your favourite childhood games. Mine is tag games and that definitely makes me run out of breath.

  • Having a good posture

When you’re at workplace, did you get a back pain from sitting for too long? Or for having a back posture? When you try to walk straighter and try to straighten your back, it won’t work. You keep walking with your back hunched and the back pain came again along with sore muscles. How do you make it go away?

Having a good posture can help you. There are a lot of articles in the internet on fixing your posture and the do and don’t.

While watching tv, don’t just stay on a fixed position. Strech around. Stretching will give you a jolt of energy and help straighten your back.

  • Martial arts

Have you ever dream about having been able to do an awesome kung fu movement
like one of those martial art movies? Well, if you have go for it! Learn martial arts. It’s
good for your health and it gives you advantages. There are many types of martial arts
out there. What you need to do is find the one that suits your soul. Think of all those
awesome movement from the action movies that you can learn.

  • Clean the house

If you have been avoiding doing housework chores, I want you to think again. Sweeping the floors of your bedroom for 7 minutes is enough to make you sweat.  Imagine what cleaning the whole house can do for you. From mopping the floor, doing the laundry, to changing your bed sheet, it will keep you on your feet!

Let’s say you sweep your floor once every 2 days and you mop your floor every weekend. An average person should burn 4 calories for easy cleaning. If you spend 10 minutes cleaning your floor, you just burn 40 calories! Add additional 80 calories for mopping your floor on the weekend. In a week, you have burn total of 120 calories!

If you’ve been doing it for a year, you have just burn 5760 calories. Wow. Just by doing housework.

And guess what? Doing house chores also help strengthen your muscles!

  • Play video games

When I say play video games, I mean video games that makes you move a lot. Not the one that makes you sit in front of the screen, not moving at all. For example, Just Dance. It’s fun, and at the same time you move your body to bust a move! Or you can get a Kinect. As you play badminton, balancing your body on motorboat or kicking the villain, you are getting a workout without actually doing a workout.

  • Use a stand table

A stand table can help you reducing the risk of getting back pain from having to sit on a chair slouching too much.

Personally, I prefer the regular desk. That is because I can barely stand still for 5
minutes. My legs got tired easily. I’m not the type that can stand still while surfing the
internet. I need to move around. So I switch. When I got tired of Standing, I will sit.
When I think I have sit for too long, I will stand, move around or lay down. Do not
stay on the same position for too long.

That is me. If you are the type that don’t mind standing then standing desk is perfect
             for you.

  • Use the stairs

You probably heard this lots of time. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. But you probably didn’t know why it is widely encourage. Here are the reasons why :

1.      Stair climbing can have a significant and positive impact on your health over time.
2.      Stair climbing reduces risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, obesity and type 2 diabetes.
3.      It helps improves your cardiovascular fitness and stronger musculoskeletal system.
4.      You can improves your muscle tone, tighten bones and tone your thighs.
5.      Believe it, stair climbing helps you sleeps well and fight stress!
6.      It promotes weight loss and increases good cholesterol.

Did you need more reasons to use the stair?

So, there you go, ways to stay fit without having to exercise! I hope you guys can benefited from this! Until then!

Romance Novels That Are Better Than Nicholas Spark’s

Hello, everyone!

If you know me well, you will know that I love reading. Mostly I read manga and fanfiction but I still read some novels! Well, novels that are ... interesting... whatever. So, I’m recollecting my memories on all the novels that I’ve read to rate them. This entry is about romance novel.

I don’t know about you but I love Nicholas Spark work. He’s really an expert when it comes to making his characters alive and playing with our feelings. It’s hard to find a romance novel that can beat his. So, I’m writing down a list of novels that are better than his!

1. The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffeneger

I’ve first read this novel when I was 16 so forgive me if I left out a lot of details. I think what makes me love this novel is that its concept. A man who can time travel, met his wife in different time zone. One day, he’s at the present time. Suddenly, he was travelled back to the past. Then, back to the present only to be jumped to the future. Imagine how messed up his life is.

2. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This piece of art is a heart-breaking novel. Truly. To summarize it, this story is about a pair of star-crossed lover. Park, a half-Korean boy who is rich and new to the town meet Eleanor, the normal and bullied girl. What makes me love it are it’s a slow budding romance. The two start of as a friend and slowly started to have feelings for each other. Park’s parents are an example of a supportive parents. They don’t mind that Eleanor is not pretty and came from a poor family, although Mrs Park is a bit hesistant at first, they decided to support them andconstantly inviting Eleanor for dinner. When Eleanor abusive stepfather went after her, the Parks lend their car to their son to drive Eleanor to her uncle’s house, safe from her stepfather. The story ends when Eleanor send a letter to Park written only in three words. Well, it’s not hard to guess what it is. We never know if Park and Eleanor see each other after the event but it is revealed in the prologue that Eleanor passed away. Sad, itsn’t it?

3. Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen

To be truth, I’m not a fan of literature novel like this but Pride And Prejudice is something that I wuldn’t mind reading it. This novel is a piece of art. I’m sure those who loves literature will love this book and fall in love with Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. Sure, Elizabeth might be stubborn and fixed on her opinion, and Mr. Darcy is an arrogant and prideful man. But when they realize on their mistakes, they tone down on their pride and prejudice on each other and accept that they are two people who are in love with each other.

4. The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

I admit, I was first intrigued by the cover of novel (and boredom) so I went ahead and borrow this from the library. My mom read it first and told me it was a sad story. After finished reading it, all kinds of emotion just go through me. This story is about how two people who each battling their emotions after a series of misfortune, meet accidently and without relizing it, they seek comfort on each other. This novel is actually an online novel which later got published due to its popularity. Overall, I love the sweet, calm, and comforting feelings you can feel from the two main characters of this novel (I forgot their names).

Honorable Mentions :

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Gone With The Wind by Margarett Mitchell
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
The Fault In Our Star by John Greene

P.s : There is no Nicholas Spark novels in here because this entry is about novels in my opinion that are better or in the same level as Sparks’.

I have to stop here because it's getting too long and I don't want you to be bored. Feel free to comment if there is a novel that you think should be on the list. Until then, bye!

Farewell, Bleach

Hey, it’s me again. So on 18th August 2016, one of my favourite manga has finally comes to an end. And I’m just like

Looking back to when I first read Bleach, I think I was 10 years old at that time?  Wow! Time flies! Now, I’m 19.

To be truth, I am not satisfied with the ending. I did like that Ichigo and Orihime end up together, and Rukia is with Renji but there I feel like there’s a HUGE cliffhanger. Well, it’s not Tite Kubo if there is no cliffhanger.

Introducing, Kurosaki Kazui, the adorable son of Orihime and Ichigo!

Look at how adorable that smile is!
Well, we know that Tite Kubo actually has 10 or more chapters left before he's going to end Bleach. But, since the rating has gone down, the Shonen Jump decided to not let Tite Kubo continued Bleach, thus the rushed ending. It’s such a shame though, this is the manga that once has a high rating for a long time until it’s downfall. I know, some may not agree saying Bleach is not as popular as Naruto or One Piece, but hey, it is one of the Big 3 for a reason.

So, in conclusion, we know that Captain Ukitake is dead. Captain Kyoraku is still the head captain. Rukia has promoted to the be captain of Division 13, replacing the late Captain Ukitake. Eveyone is alive, even Aizen. That’s it.

Overall, goodbye Bleach, it’s such a long 15 years. I really love it. Hey, even my mom and uncle are fans of Bleach!

And oh yes, before I forgot, a blogger (whose name I don’t know) did an awesome review about Bleach. Here’s the link to his/her website, if you want to check it out. He/she is way more detailed than me.

P.S. Actually, there’s a funny story about Bleach. I was at a tuition centre and the teacher gave us exercises to do. I finished them early so I took my Bleach comic and read it. The teacher saw me read it and ask me to give the comic. (He wants to confiscate it!) But when he flip the page, he was like, “OMG, Bleach! You like Bleach?) And I was like, ‘what in the world?’ So it turns out he’s a huge fan of Bleach. (His favourite character is Gin) and thus I escaped the embarrasedment of having my comic being confiscated. He actually let me read it!
